The Bartowitsch papers

Postby Michi » Thu Mar 17, 2011 11:30 pm

Michi wroteColonProfessor Bartowitsch had vanished and Doctor Cindy-Anna Bones who had been on his trail for a long time had entered Hollow Earth a couple of weeks ago. The infamous Thule society was still in possession of the Haunebu II flying disc, yet they did not have the weapon technology to arm it with the KSK-Kraftstrahlkanone.
Gossip had it that the Germans were trying to ship an experimental prototype to New Swabia in the Antarctic.

Doctor Thule unleashed his bloodhounds to track down the German freighter and rob the secret weapon.
What Thule knew was not unknown to the U.S. government. L.O.L. agents boarded a seaplane and set course towards the suspected position of the trawler too.
Meanwhile the rather unsuspicious Doreen Goldbeck of Cheskora Lines from Kiel on the Baltic Sea had left the North Sea and set sail for the south on the Atlantic Ocean.

The merchant navy vessel had a naval crew of six:
Kapitänleutnant Hans Larsen and Leutnant zur See Friedhelm Fröhlich manned the rudder house with the lieutenant on the wheel.
Image

Bootsmannsmaat Karl Sepplhuber stood watch on the port side of the ship.
Image

The other soldiers were having a chat in the mess. There were Bootsmann Ernst Bückling, Obergefreiter Bodo Schwarzbrand and Gefreiter Josef "Jojo" Johansen.
Image

Though apart from their secret cargo they also had passengers aboard.
Image

Oberstleutnant Udo von Protzmann...
Image

...and his very pretty assistant Solveig Brandner, a VRIL medium, accompanied the cannon.
Image
They had a complete set of plans for its construction with them.
Both were chosen for some special ability that was rare to find these days.

It was right then that a small but quick boat arrived and blocked their way.
Image

Image

Thule society had entered the scene.
Image

And they then boarded the Doreen.
Image

Bootsmannsmaat Sepplhuber sounded the ships siren to alarm the crew and moved into a good firing position with his LMG where he could overwatch the entire loading deck.
Image
Image

Doctor Thules minions climbed up the anchor and took the fore deck.
Image

Image

The roaring sound of an aircrafts engine drew attention. L.O.L. arrived and got a good impression of what was going on from above.
Image

Herr Kehlmann jumped successfully over the gap between the decks:
Image

Image

L.O.L. agent (possibly super-special agent, but nobody knew for sure) Johnson and his boss Lara Bancroft took the short way aboard.
Image

Herr Wolfram cautiously moved behind cover...
Image

...while the L.O.L. agents tried to spot the plans for the cannon.
Image

Obergefreiter Bodo Schwarzbrand left the mess and opened fire on the pirates.
Image

Herr Wolfram secured Herr Kehlmanns assault over the main deck from behind the secret weapon.
Image

Agent Johnson approached the engine deck, but he decided to turn left for the stairs to the mess deck.
Image

The Bootsmannsmaat covered the main deck with lead from his Mg 34.
Image

He drew first blood and cut down Herr Kehlmann like dry straw.
Image

Agent Johnson ascended the stairs to where the German PFC stood shooting at the Thule men.
Image

Herr Wolfram tried to cross the deck and fired at the murderer of his comrade Herr Kehlmann. He missed the Bootsmannsmaat, who stood on high ground and in cover of the solid railing.
Image

All that noise from hammering submachine guns and the light machine gun produced a rather upset staff officer called von Protzmann.
Image

His loudly shouted commands brought forth his assistant as well. The girl had already been asleep and stepped to the balcony only scantily clad.
It was late at night and the full moon should have been visible on the horizon, though it was hidden behind some clouds.
Image

Agent Lara Bancroft followed Agent Johnson upstairs, but decided to jump sideways up to the loading deck when Johnson hesitated to avoid stumbling into Schwarzbrands line of fire.
Image

She fumbled the jump and fell into the gap hurting her angle.
Image
Then the full moon broke through the clouds...

...and Oberstleutnant Udo von Protzmann lost his human appearance and turned into a howling werewolf!
Image

He leapt from the balcony immediately to tear up Herr Wolframs throat.
Image

That powerful superhuman jump brought him right into close combat...
Image

The brave American agent had climbed the deck and aimed at the wolfmans back. No silver bullets loaded...
Image

Herr Müller seized the moment of distraction and left cover.
Image

Werewolf von Protzmann had finished his bloody task and leapt back to face the agent.
Image

Agent Lara Bancroft had a hard time to resist the wolfbeasts mighty blows and finally got torn to pieces.
Though her fellow Agent Johnson could set an end to Obergefreiter Bodo Schwarzbrand and his submachine gun. The dead PFC went overboard.
Image

Bootsmann Ernst Bückling wanted to avenge his comrades death and jumped out of the mess door.
Image

Dead bodies were already plastering the deck...
Image

...when Herr Müller sneaked behind the back of the wolfen lieutenant colonel...
Image

...and his fellow Herr Steiner charged along the starboard walkway. (bottom right corner of the pic)
Image

The poor sod ran right into Bootsmann Bücklings fire. The bearded sergeant smiled grimly on his death.
Image

Then Solveig Brandner also shifted her shape and turned to be a she-wolf!
Image

She jumped down from right where she stood off the balcony and landed on L.O.L. Agent Johnson, who got down rather puzzled.
Image

Exactly then the moon vanished behind some clouds and the naked young lady stood over him.
Image

In a flash of insight he jumped up and shoved her overboard before she could do something else.
Image

I´ll be back after a short break...(to be continued)

Michi wroteColonSolveig Brandner got wet all over, but apart from that she remained unharmed and struggled to get hold of the ships wall.
Image

As Solveig did, so did her boss: He returned to be human again. That made him vulnerable...
Image

...and Herr Müller shot a load of hot lead into the Oberstleutnants back, killing him instantly.
Image

Bootsmann Bückling realized that he had shot all his bullets and withdrew to the mess.
Image

Agent Johnson did not take care of him and stormed pass the mess door to the aft deck, around the corner, around the other corner and reached the port side stairs to the passenger deck.
Image

A beam of moonlight tickled the waves and Fräulein Brandner got furry again.
Image
Her claws grabbed the wall and she climbed up aboard.

Gefreiter Josef "Jojo" Johansen got hit by Agent Johnsons bullets after a long firefight between the two.
Image

He fell over the railing and hit the engine deck deeply below.
Image

Bootsmannsmaat watched the scene and tried to remove the jam from his Mg 34.
Image

Eventually he got the weapon working again.
Image

The Solveig Brandner wolf-thing had boarded the Doreen Goldbeck again and chose her designated prey...
Image

...that was called Herr Müller, who had luckily been able to kill her wolf companion Udo von Protzmann.
Image

She would not let him get away with that.
Image

Agent Johnson ran up the stairs,
picked up the briefcase of the dead Oberstleutnant,
which he had dropped when he had turned into a wolf,
found the plans for the KSK-gun inside,
took them
and jumped over board.
Image

Bootsmannsmaat Karl Sepplhuber realized what would happen and decided to stop the agents escape by sinking the seaplane.
He fired at the "Duck" but only sieved it with bullets without making the stubborn aircraft burn, explode or sink.
Image

By removing the head and limbs off the corpse of Herr Müller, the she-wolf finished her gory work. (the damage dice caused a triple critical hit - three times overkill...)
Image

She paid attention to Bootsmannsmaat Sepplhubers yelling and pointing.
The beast understood...
Image

Herr Wagner knew a chance when he saw one and fired his machine gun...
Image

...right when Bootsmann Ernst Bückling returned from reloading his weapon in the mess.
The sergeant went down in an instant.
Image

Agent Johnson tried to escape by swimming in the cold Atlantic water when the female werewolf came flying across the ships port wall and took the plunge right beside him.
Image
She ripped and drowned the American thoroughly and returned the secret plans to her own possession.
Then she got back aboard.

The captain commanded the lieutenant to take care of the Thule gangster with the machine gun.
Leutnant zur See Friedhelm Fröhlich obeyed and stepped out of the rudder house to the starbord balcony.
Image

Herr Wagner paced carefully over his fallen comrades and proceeded.
Image

Solveig Brandner had rescued the plans and still sought vengeance for von Protzmanns useless death.
Image

And again the full moon got shrouded behind curtains of clouds.
Image

Herr Wagner could not be stopped by the lieutenant some decks above.
He had watched the she-wolf coming back with the plans and had awaited her on the engine deck.
He triggered the machine gun...
Image

...but she was faster and struck him hard to the face.
She hit his chin with her right and doubled the hit with her left.
That broke his jaw and neck alike, threw the back of his head to the wall and turned his brain to jelly. (both rolls were sixes!)
Image

Victory was sweet for my Germans! I have saved the plans from Doc Thules greedy fingers and the destiny in some huge American warehouse cramped with crates filled with secret things and gizmos. And the captain even had never moved! :yahoo:

You can have the prequels if you like:

Doc wroteColonMissing Professor Dr. Bartowitsch!

Is there any truth in the rumors about German UFO technology, which was developed allegedly in the 30's and later led to the construction of the "Haunebu" flying disc?

Thereby almost gone into oblivion are the mysterious incidents around the "Perpetuum Resonanzkraftfeldtechnik" (perpetual resonance-force field method), which had been stolen by Professor Dr. Bartowitsch from the secret shelter area 69 (geographical location in the Karpaten on the intersection of 6th degree of latitude and 9th degree of longitude) in the year 1931. He was discovered about one week later on a platform in Paris and a few days after in the port of Tanger. Subsequently, its trace loses itself.

My assumption, and I stress that it is only an assumption, points to the following:
Professor Dr. Bartowitsch originally acted out of own drive and wanted to sell the technology developed by him to the highest bidder. Also, a prospective customer was found fast. An allegedly scandinavian enterprise, the ELUHT Transcorp., negotiated over intermediaries with Bartowitsch, whose activities were observed in the meantime of the American secret service L.O.L. .
L.O.L. had thereupon attached contacts to Dr. Cindy Anna Bones, which was a former student Bartowitschs and in the meantime doing some field research . She was ordered to find Bartowitsch and the stolen technology and persuade him coming with her to America. But ELUHT remains at the wheel and is willing to locate Bartowitsch at all cost ...

... to be continued (on the table)…

The little introduction above is meant as a prolog for a little pulp campaign Michi and I are planning. All our latest stuff, from the Haunebu to Dr. Thule and his werewolf soldiers are throwing in. The campaign will start next week with an incident at the railroad track between Arkham and Chicago, where L.O.L. starts an inconspicuous attempt to contact Cindy Anna Bones. But the villanious henchman of Dr. Thule are at the location to "contact" her too. More to come hopefully in a few days.

;)

Greetings,

Doc

The train has recently left and will reach Doc´s place within a few hours...

Meanwhile Cindy-Anna Bones is enjoying the view from her window.

Michi wroteColonThe 5.30 train to Chicago came to a sudden stop by an accident that had happened at the railroad crossing near Fargo Wells´ farm house.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Many cars and trucks queued up as the traffic was jammed by the wreck of a trailer that had flipped right on the tracks.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Car drivers and train passengers were standing on the road and searched for any injured persons, though there were none.

Image

Image

Image

Image

The accident was faked by ELUTH companions, who wanted to ambush some certain passengers on the train. These were hiding in farmer Wells´ field on the other side of the road. The four Germans were armed with tommyguns and pistols.

Image

Image

Image

Image

There was Dr. Cindy-Anna Bones on the train, who was talking to an agent of the unofficial U.S. intelligence L.O.L., while two other agents were guarding their secret meeting in the second coach. The ELUHT perps did not know exactly where on the train they were and waited under concealment of the plants. Agent Louisiana crossed the platform to the baggage car. He wanted to find out why the train had come to a stop on the open track.
He spotted one of the ELUHT-gunmen on the road and yelled to his boss that there was trouble ahead.

Image

The boss was agent Tennessee, who told the archaeologist to stay in the coach until he would get another transport. The agent left the train and crossed the road towards a rusty truck that ELUHT had parked there.

Image

Image

The armed German jumped onto the back of the truck when agent Tennessee had managed to start the engine and tried to find a gear. Brave agent Louisiana drew his gun and jumped out of the baggage car to take care of the foreigner.

Image

Image

The poor boy got shot down before he was knowing what happened.

Image

Farmer Wells supposed that there was something awfully wrong outside and had called the cops meanwhile, who arrived right at this moment from both directions.

Image

Image

Image

The road was blocked by many trucks and their drivers running around, so the constable decided to take a shortcut through farmer Wells´ field.

Image

Image

He ploughed through the crops, lost control on the slippery soil and crashed the Ford T into the Peterbilt prime mover...

Image

Image

Image

Image

The second police car stopped by the end of the train where the constables were confronted with the gangleader, who took a poor preacher as hostage and held him in front of himself as a living shield against the cop´s bullets. Those were hesitating to fire.

Image

Image

Image

But so wasn´t the reckless ELUHT evildoer and gunned down the preacher in a rain of lead from his Thompson, when he tried to hit the cops. All passengers inside the train ducked for cover when they heard the hammering of automatic weapons from outside and saw the preacher go down.

Image

Image

All hell broke loose on the road and violence exploded everywhere up and down along the train, when agent Tennessee set the truck in motion and slowly passed by the platform where Cindy-Anna Bones was waiting for him. The daredevil woman jumped onto the bonnet of the passing truck and the agent hit the gas.

Image

Image

Innocent bystanders were hit by bullets from both ELUHT and police. Neither L.O.L. agents nor Dr. Bones shot even a single round.

Image

Image

Image

There was still a constable standing in the middle of the road. The clueless cop did not realise that the truck driver was one of the good guys. He only saw the gorgeous lady on the hood and shot at both. Agent Tennessee tried to avoid killing the policeman by pulling the wheel to the left and crashed into the dead preacher´s two-colourd Ford T Coupé.

Image

Image

The truck came off the road and got stuck in the soft soil. Cindy-Anna Bones jumped off the bonnet, closely followed by the German, who was still on the truck as well. She started to run...

Image

...and gained ground soon.

Image

The foreigner shouted in frustration and waved his guns, but the archaelogist escaped through the fields.

Image

Image

Image

Dr. Cindy-Anna Bones had got the information by L.O.L. that she needed to find Professor Bartowitsch.
She went on to get aboard a zeppelin to Germany as soon as possible.

To be continued...

The papers were full of what had happened at the railroad crossing the next day, though you already know now what´s written there.

Michi wroteColonPart two played yesterday:

Prologue:
Dr. Bones had managed to escape Thule´s henchmen and had made her way to the Zeppelin. The flight took her to the polar region around Iceland, where she was dropped by parachute on a remote island. A German vessel had picked her up and brought her to another island that was never to be found on any map. Professor Bartowitsch was suspected to be there, but Thule knew it better: The island hosted one of some secret entrances to the inner earth. If Bartowitsch had really made it there, he was now in what parascientists call "Hollow Earth". Thule had their own interest to get hold of him, because he had not finished the work on the Haunebu flying disc yet. The KSK-Kraftstrahlkanone raygun was only a mockup for aerodynamic research on the flying saucer.
Dr. Thule himself had urged his henchmen to take care of the case. Their objective was to seek and arrest Dr. Cindy-Anna Bones for further interrogation, but she was allowed to be killed, if that would not be evitable.

The Germans who brought Dr. Bones have landed:
Image

And so have the Thule henchmen on the opposite of the island...
Image

...right in front of the cave that hides the secret entrance to the hollow earth.
Image

The Thule Gauleiter Sven Johanson orders his men to seek the female scientist.
Image

The Germans and the American relic hunter swarm out as well. They try to find Professor Bartowitsch and do neither know about the Thule presence, nor about the entrance yet.
Image

The cave forms a tunnel that goes right through the rock. Jorn Gustafson pulls the trigger of his Tommygun when Bootsmann Jens Jansen comes in sight.
Image

The German replies the firing, but is hit first.
Image

He falls and dies instantly on the nameless island far away from his fatherland.
Image

His comrades are alarmed by the hammering noise of submachinegun fire. They reach high ground to get an impression of what is going on.
Image

Tonje Malstrom is hiding behind a tree and aims thoroughly at the German sailor (top right in the picture).
Image

But Dr. Bones has him in sight. He fires at the sailor and she fires at him.
Image

He misses, she hits. His dead body rolls down the rockside and lies dead in the rubble.
Image

She knows how to shoot!
Image

Ole Snornbrand climbs up the hill to take his revenge for the dead companion.
Image

But private Jim Pansen is watchful now and pumps round after round of lead into him.
The Norwegian dies at the same spot as his fellow and also rolls down the hill.
Image

Meanwhile on top of the cliff: PFC Hans Hansen fusileers the Thule Gauleiter from above.
That makes Jorn Gustafson run, who has thought about how to destroy the entrance to hollow earth.
Image

He is quick aboard the Haunebu and off he flies...
Image

Although his attempt to destroy the entrance has been noticed by Hansen.
The Germans and the pretty American take a closer look, driven by curiosity.
Image

They finally find the entrance and suspect Professor Bartowitsch somewhere ahead.
They do not know yet about the unbelieveable secret that lies before them, but they are brave enough to face it and move on without hesitation.
Image

To be continued...
