Pulp Fiction

Postby Igor » Sun Sep 06, 2009 2:32 pm

Doing some homework I found a minor treasure trove of pulp magazine fiction, much of it available for free!

Following a link from ThePulp.net, I found Age of Aces a press that publishes reprints of aviation titles from pulp magazines. These are available as modern, trade paperback anthologies on Amazon of fiction originally published in the 1930' - 40's.

If however you want to get a taste for them before you buy, they have selected stories available for free as pdf downloads on their Age of Aces Presents page. I have no idea how many there are but there are fifteen on their latest downloads page alone! You can access them by links from the book pages or by following the web of links in the right-hand bar.

In addition they have a free gallery of interior and exterior art from the magazines and biographies of the artists and writers

I found this a fantastic window on what a pulp magazine might have contained and looked like in 1937. A great resource!

Excellent find.
This could wind up being one of our community's best writing tools. :D
