Seriously; the ruleset isn't complicated for CS. The UI and art for an electronic adaptation of the FASA game would far outstrip the code-work for a head-to-head version. AI might take a bit more effort, but is still quite reasonable.

Dropping something like this on Steam, XBL, and/or Playstation's Network thingie for $5-10 a shot would be quite cool, and probably turn a small profit considering the modest development requirements. It could certainly be done, as the original FASA game, as an after-hours labor of love by the Smith & Tinker crew, even.

I'd buy into it as a one-off purchase for whatever the going rate is or pay a subscription, like WOW, for a month or year but playing only once a week would make that $260 - $520 for a year at $5-10! That would actually dissuade me from playing it.

I wonder if something like this could be ported across as an iPhone ap? I would think the screen would be too small to show a hex game mat but they seem to be the current craze. An iPhone version of the PC or X-Box Game perhaps? I don't own an iPhone but for this I might invest in one

Oh, goodness, Igor -- I guess "a shot" wasn't very clear -- that's a one-time cost! (plus X-Box Live Gold subscription, in that case, I suppose, but that's amortized over multiple multiplayer games on the X-Box) "A shot" was indicating "per download."

I updated the main title to help people see that it's new.

And this post'll make it new.

Okay, we officially have BIG news.

I mean big. As in break out the beer and pretzels, pass em around and have a real party.

I waited until it WAS confirmed and he agreed to do it.

Mister Jordan Weisman HAS AGREED to do a Question and Answer section for the Crimson Skies 6 weeks!!!!!!!

That's right :!:

Creator of Crimson Skies, along with other awesome games, and current S&T resident, has agreed to answer some questions for us Crimson Skies nerds.

*Oops..did I just say nerds? I meant..umm....fans....*

Exactly how it will work is still being decided, but it won't be a LIVE session, so as to allow more people on at a time. Questions will be gathered and/or posted, and he will answer them at once.

Of course a few guidelines will be laid out at the time, etc. But I don't know until stuff is a little closer.

But, I figured I should share the good news :D

Amazing news Grant! Great job! Can't wait! The 6wksCS will be awesome.

Okay, it's a little big, but here's the cover to the Sourcebook I'm planning.

Instead of purely the Marivellas, I decided to make it a Pan-Am Style thing..well..you'll see ;)

Abolition of the police, the army and the bureaucracy. The salaries of all officials, all of whom are elective and displaceable at any time, not to exceed the average wage of a competent worker.
