Okay.

Week's been sorta slow on work. I've had to help the neighbors 2 days, my uncles 2 days. I took a day off on Friday for a show, and my computer crashed on one and is only working half___ right now. It'll go up to the computer shop on Tuesday.

I AM working on stuff, just letting everyone know if I am not around ;) By next weekend everything should be fixed, and I can get hard into it all!!!

Okay.

I updated the main title to help people see that it's new.

And this post'll make it new.

Okay, we officially have BIG news.

I mean big. As in break out the beer and pretzels, pass em around and have a real party.

I waited until it WAS confirmed and he agreed to do it.

Mister Jordan Weisman HAS AGREED to do a Question and Answer section for the Crimson Skies 6 weeks!!!!!!!

That's right :!:

Creator of Crimson Skies, along with other awesome games, and current S&T resident, has agreed to answer some questions for us Crimson Skies nerds.

*Oops..did I just say nerds? I meant..umm....fans....*

Exactly how it will work is still being decided, but it won't be a LIVE session, so as to allow more people on at a time. Questions will be gathered and/or posted, and he will answer them at once.

Of course a few guidelines will be laid out at the time, etc. But I don't know until stuff is a little closer.

But, I figured I should share the good news :D

Wow! Congratulations Grant! Looks like we might be able to find out about the future of Crimson Skies from the Man himself!

Wow, that's really cool.

I look forward to (hopefully) finding out some clues and/or hints about future CS projects (I would be delighted to see a re-issue of the FASA game, which I've been finding more and more delightful, or a close adaptation to other media [it's already a great turn-based strategy game, why not make it a great turn-based strategy computer game? It would be beyond simple to do, and with licensed art support and just a little bit of production value...], to get more exposure to this great stuff, and of course, more chances for updated rumor fodder for a flight sim CS game is positively drool-worthy), and I'd love to get a chance to pick his brain a bit about how they constructed and balanced the published scenarios, so as to feel better about the prospect of running an ongoing campaign that's fun for all.

I'm most interested in the older FASA game.

I personally think they don't know hardly anything about a new Crimson Skies. It's just too early, I have a feeling that until MW-Redo is released and it's popularity checked, CS will be on hold.

Perhaps one thing to remember is that S&T only have the electronic entertainment rights to CS so he might not be able to answer any questions about the future of of the boardgame

Hence my interest in whether there could be a close adaptation of the board game to an electronic medium as a turn-based game, preferably playable single-player and over the internet.

Absolutely right! That would fall within the description of 'electronic media' whilst being a flow on from the boardgame. When you look at the popularity of the fan-created games of this type, surely there must be some way for a talented programmer to make something along these lines that can be licensed and turn a profit for them. THAT'S going to be the sticking point: finding something that can make a profit on.
