So sad. . .

Postby Thom » Sat May 16, 2015 3:51 pm

So sad that such a wonderful forum is fading away. This forum is on my daily list, but it has been languishing now for months. I confess that I am just as guilty of neglecting things here as anyone else.

I guess maybe there comes a time when all that needs to be said on a given subject has been said?

I still dream for the return of this genre!

I know.....I let the place go into neglect.

I keep hoping to restart but it seems life gets in the way.

I completely understand. I have been pretty busy myself trying to learn 3D art. It has been demanding most of my time, but I still check this forum every day or two out of habit. . .

If you're interested, you can see my stuff at http://thomvinson.deviantart.com/, but be warned, there is some nudity, probably considered NSFW. It is mostly Scfi themed stuff for a story project that is burning me up right now, a story that's demanding to be told! While I am not yet telling that story, I am doing character development and honing my scene building technique.

There was someone working on a Vassal version of CS, but after the initial hooting and hollering there was never any progress reports that I am aware of.

Hey Thom! I've been away a while also, (mostly recuperating from being sick off and on since Memorial Day) but I just posted some pics of some new planes I painted. I also hope to have a new update to "The Phantom Airship" soon.

If it makes you feel better, if I see Jordan Weisman again this year at GenCon, I will, once again, beg him to return to the universe -- preferably in a tabletop flavor, perhaps with a companion app to help with bookkeeping.
