I never tried GTA...but will have to when this is done

I wonder if people could be hired to do some of the work.....I dunno how much, but if it meant a CS mod to GTA.....I might be able to knock in a fair bit for it.

I don't think that you and any of us need to pay for this work to be done, if Fox allows, most of the money could come from in-game advertising and promotions (via billboard or radio commercial) of companies that would have existed in Crimson Skies and our own world, such as Ford, General Motors, Crosley Radios, etc. There's an endless number of companies that can be advertised in this game, and from what I here, they pay pretty well.

By the way Fox, what map is the CBD?

And rather than try and modify the whole game straight off the bat I will concentrate in one or two areas [like the CBD and airport]

That would be the Central Business District aka the area with all the skyscrappers

When you mentioned the Vice City map, I played the old game (I have all three originals) and suddenly remembered that Vice City already had an Airship (otherwise known as an advertising blimp) circling the downtown area. Good choice, may I ask what map you're using for the airport?

The same map that it already has here.
The CBD is top left, the airport [which I will downgrade to an aerodrome] is bottom left.

It's been a month since last contact, and I'm just interested in asking how far along you gotten with the mod. Have you received any help, or are you still on your own? No rush, I'm just curious about your progress.

no unfortunately, nothing new to mention . . . still going to go it alone though!
Currently the work [while continuing] has been on hold until after easter, I am just to preoccupied with real world pursuits . . . I have only done three other buildings [will upload later] so far in my spare time.
