Roughly the same size as the zeppelin damage sheet about 30 cm long 10 cm wide this way it would be possible to engage in fleet movements. I had originally thought about making it to scale with the minis but that would put the zeppelin model at just over a meter long.
Hey everyone! Just thought that I would give this post a bump, as I mentioned on Jerba's other post I have started to get ready for my garage miniature business. Hopefully I will be ready to launch by Australia Day [January 26th]. My intention is to have the first Zeppelin kit [cargo] ready to go as well as a few of my planes [yes Jerba that means the Zion]
Unfortunately they won't be available to you guys just yet, the 26th is also the start of Australia's major Gaming Conventions, so any stock I have will be for there. Depending on how well that goes I hope to have the other two zeppelin kits ready for Easter, after that I will be free to open up to online orders and I will start trading on ebay.
Currently though I am practicing my casting technique on CS minis, I have been reading up on trying to minimise flash and airbubbles from my sprues, its proving tricky. Standard cure time is suppose to be around 20 mins but with the ambient room temperature over 30C the damn things are ready in 6-8 mins.
So I'm fiddling with the mix ratio [trying to prolong cure times], hopefully this will enable me to mix and inject the plastic slower. But in the meantime I am developing a small fleet of planes . . . Maybe I will sell a few of these to fellow Aussies [at cost] who can't get hold of any real minis.
Looking good Malcom! I applaud your hard work on this. Taking it on and really tackling a project that you have no experience with is very impressive. I hope you continue to develop this. I am very interested in see the zepps! Not too mention that Zion!!! What are you seeing the price points at for your various figs? The auto gyro looks great, the paint really shows off the details you were able to include in te model.
Congrats on the hard work. I may have missed a post earlier, but is there a reason the link under your posts (signature?) leads to nowhere, or do you have your own site which you would sell your products off of, or is it just my browser
