Black Zeroes Materials

So once upon a time... there was a fansite for Crimson Skies named The Black Zeroes. The writer had done much work, creating new regions, new aircraft, and new rules. And the fans saw this, and saw that it was good. But then, Geocities, the source of this site, went bankrupt, and the site was no more. And the fans saw this and were unhappy.

However...

I was picking through my old CS stuff in preparation for getting a new friend into the game, and I found that I had printed out a copy of the material from the Black Zeroes site. He did a lot of detail work on the Caribbean and Alaska. Unfortunately, this has all been lost with the disappearance of his old site, and his new site hasn't been updated in a long time. Given that I still have this, I'd like to retype and upload this for others to have access to, but I don't want to post the material if he doesn't want it posted. Has anyone has any contact with the guy who ran the site? Do you think it would be okay for me to post this?

I know, but his site has almost no material and it hasn't been updated in a long time.

Part of his problem was very low web traffic and he didn't know if it was worth it.

I mean, I'm still interested, but he's probably busy and whatnot.

John Patterson recently sent me a full copy of the Black Zeroes website with every detail, aircraft and background in it about a month ago. Since his group left the CS game his interest has waned to about 0 but I had a conversation about restarting it in a Blog format, either by himself or as added pages in mine to make it a bit easier for him. I haven't heard form him yet if he wants to follow this path.

Nice chap as he is, I don't think it is ok to just retype his work.
