F-35B completes first vertical landing at sea

While not really having anything to do with Crimson Skies, it is an amazing milestone in aviation history.
The F-35B JSF is pretty damned amazing. This past week it made it's first vertical carrier landing.

Way cool plane! Be sure to watch the inbedded YouTube video!
The large flap you see behind the cockpit opens for the vertical thruster intake and closes during normal flight, it's interior is highly polished to reduce intake drag.
