Dice Tower Mod build

Postby foxmalcolm » Mon Dec 13, 2010 9:26 pm

Hey guys just thought I would upload some progress pics of a dice tower I am modify for my partner.
Image
She received this for her birthday a few weeks ago and all she asked me to do was cut her some shallow crenelations up the top.
Instead I looked at it and saw far more potential, I decided to go all out and actually make it into a castle tower for her dice.
Image
I even took the head of a black dragon and embedded it into the keeps front wall just above the portcullis.
The next step is to add two medium copper dragon minis to either of side of the keeps walls.
Image
But because I don't wish to actually destroy these minis I am going to make a "shelf" for them to sit on/in.
I came up with this design in 3D

here we go a new update . . .
Image
All that I need to do now is repeat the podium for the other side and then make the stone work for the corners.
Once I am done with that I will mix up some resin and "paint" the towers balsa wood components, that should minimise any more scratches from taking chunks out of the wood.
