Re: The Amazing Nikola Tesla

According to the PC game Tesla is responsible for the Beeper/Seeker rockets. I always hated those.

Re: Coup against the Australian Prime Minister

Lol. I should bone up on Australian politics...Party voting people out.....wow..differant than the US  Is Australia's political organization anything like Canada's? I heard something similar awhile back. Probably, it's basically a mixture of the British Parliamentary system and US Federali...

That was spearheaded by our Minister of Communications (or something) I can't remember whether Rudd got personally involved or not - beyond it being a policy of his government.

Re: Coup against the Australian Prime Minister

From what I understand The former PM has been making a lot of hardline decisions despite public outcries against such choices. Partly, Rudd has been increasingly over-confident and arrogant, and I think people have been picking up on that. The problem with the mining tax wasn't the policy as much a...

Re: The Rotachute Concept

I think the lifeboat application is the most logical use for the rotachutes in CS. I'm not sure about mounting them externally as that would cause a lot of drag, perhaps some kind of fold down ramp they could slide off or simply a hatch they drop out of would work better. Another consideration is th...

Re: CS Aircraft Carriers

Those whacky ole Brits had a pretty clever idea with this one, though to be fair it was conceived by an Aussie! Perhaps we would see it appear first on British and/or Aussie owned Zeps, but I can envision something of that nature eventually becoming a universal standard! Remember that they were des...

Re: CS Aircraft Carriers

54 planes (3x18 planes) seems to me like the upper realistic limit, let stretch it to 60 for pulp purposes. 72 planes is pushing it very hard, even for a 2 000 ft long Zep (600 meters). Well the important thing is that the average CS military zep is going to have a lot less than 54 planes - I'd say...

Re: CS Aircraft Carriers

I guess that the max a Zep can carry is around 48 planes (huge ones like the Texas Lady Bluebonnet and the Yellow Rose), with the average being 24 (2 squadrons). The Pride of the Republic mentions somewhere the number of planes the Legacy class zeps can carry, which I think was three or four Air Ra...

Ones I know of: Manhatten Mistress, an Elvgren piece. The one in the end of Behind the Crimson Veil. The ones in the front and back of the actual gamebox manuals is also often-seen stuff, however the name or artist escape me at the moment. Target of Opportunity , Surprise Attack! and Miss Fortune a...
