You shouldn't have to unzip it. Just double click it and "Open With..." VASSAL. Might help to download the latest version of VASSAL too.

Crimson Skies: X-Wing Miniatures Conversion

So, I love the old FASA Crimson Skies. I especially love the theme and setting. However, X-Wing has ruined me for other dog-fighting games. It's a solid system that plays fast and bears many similarities to CS. So, my buddies up at my LGS and I are working on a conversion to bring CS into FFG's Flig...

Wow, I totally hadn't realized how long I had put this on the back burner. I'm finishing up a couple of things and I will post it for download/community editing. Even if it is not my dream release candidate--it's still playable. I may post it and see if anyone would want to help with my future ideas...

It's still going. Life kinda got hectic. All the plane tokens are in but I decided to revamp the maneuver overlay system to try to streamline that phase a bit so that pushed it back a bit. I still have to add more maps too. I'm still working on it. Just trying to find time to do it.

I think zeps will be do-able. I won't have them in the initial release, but the good thing about Vassal module is anyone can edit them. So the community can help me add stuff. I've been thinking of ways to implement zeps.

VASSAL has a built in feature in which you can create an extension for it. So for instance, I want custom planes/logos for my campaign, that I don't want to include in this public release, I can just create the extension, copy create anything I want to add, load the extension before your load your n...

So, I'm new to the forums, but I thought you all might be interested in this. I'm almost done with my Crimson Skies VASSAL module.
